Silvertown Quays.

Steamy Water Babes and Husky Hunks delight the crowds in London's hot tourist spot.

Audiences are wowed by this unique attraction, with displays of spectacular underwater ballet and marine divers, showing the delights and dangers of deep sea diving in this mystical underwater world.

An animal rights dream? Unfortunately yes!

The sad reality

Instead of something that could be unique to London, the plans are to build an aquarium. However it is hyped up it will be just another aquarium that can be found in many large cities.

It will house a number of breeds of sharks and other fish.

Wild animals suffer greatly in captivity, both physically and psychologically. A captive environment can never provide all that a wild animal needs.

One weak defence of these aquariums is that they help in the conservation of species. However aquariums still take many of their animals from the wild, and as many animals in aquariums may not live long, there is a constant 'need' to replace them.

Not only does this cause stress to the individual animals, but many wild-caught animals also die during capture and transport. Pressures are also put on wild populations.

Tourists come to see attractions that epitomise the London such as: The tower of London, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham palace and the changing of the guard, Madame Tussauds and the London Eye.

Why not get a new idea instead of an old one especially one that abuses sentient beings.

FAACE has asked people from all over the world to tell those responsible what they think about this proposed aquarium by visiting the website at www.faace.co.uk/silvertown.htm which FAACE has created this page to facilitate this worldwide protest.
